A man who authorities say ran a sex trafficking ring in Boston has pleaded guilty to nearly 20 charges.
The Boston Globe reports 28-year-old Raymond Jeffries entered the plea Tuesday in federal court to charges related to sex trafficking and enticement of a child to participate in sex trafficking.
Jeffries reached an agreement with prosecutors to serve 20 to 25 years in prison. He's scheduled for sentencing on May 19.
Prosecutors say Jeffries faced a life sentence for running an interstate sex trafficking ring in which he transported women, some as young as 17, from Boston to men in several states.
Prosecutors say Jeffries ordered a hit on one of his partners whom he suspected was cooperating with authorities. The man was shot in the head but survived.
