NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Tuesday that "there is no timeline" in regards to when a decision will be announced on Tom Brady's appeal of his four-game Deflategate suspension, Trib Total Media reports.
Goodell and Brady last met on June 23 during a suspension appeal hearing. Brady was issued a suspension for his alleged involvement in deflating footballs prior to this past season's AFC title game opposite the Indianapolis Colts.
“There is no timeline. We want to make sure we have a fair and open process,” Goodell said before a fundraising luncheon on Tuesday.
If Brady's suspension is upheld, he'll be forced to miss the team's home-opening contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers on September 10.
"We will make a decision as quickly as possible," Goodell said.
