Police Investigate ‘Apparent Homicide' in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Pittsfield police continue to investigate what they are calling an "apparent homicide" over the weekend.

Officers responded to Fenn Street at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday for reports on an unresponsive man.

The man was taken to the hospital where he later died.

He was identified as 30-year-old James Dominguez III, of Springfield, Massachusetts.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine a cause of death. The Berkshire Eagle reports that Dominguez was found in a parking lot behind a bar and there were several bullet holes in a nearby car.

There were no reports of an arrest by Monday.

If the death is ruled a homicide, it would be the second in as many months in the city.
