A Cape Cod man missing since Dec. 20 was found dead Thursday.
Police say 56-year-old William Fleming was found by a drone being operated by a search team in a marsh in Wellfleet, Massachusetts, off Lieutenant Island.
Fleming, a Yarmouth resident, had been missing since Dec. 20.
On Dec. 28, Wellfleet Police responded to a suspicious vehicle stuck on a dirt road. Officers quickly learned that the vehicle was being sought by Yarmouth Police and was being operated by Fleming.
After several hours, a search was called off without locating anyone.
On Dec. 29, Wellfleet Police again conducted a search of the area without any luck. Authorities returned to the area on Wednesday, and then Thursday, when his body was found.
