Authorities battled a 2-alarm structure fire near a prep school in Danvers, Massachusetts.
The blaze was reported at about 5:30 a.m. on Spring Street, near St. John's Preparatory School.
Aerial footage from NBC10 Boston's Sky Ranger Helicopter showed plumes of thick smoke coming from the structure. At least a dozen firefighters are responding to the scene.
As a result of the fire, Nichols Street was been shut down from Route 62 as a result, according to St. John's. Traffic was diverted to Summer Street to enter the school on Wednesday.
Classes will resume as scheduled, with a freshman class meeting at 8 a.m. and students in grades nine through 11 will begin class at 9 a.m. as normal.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Injuries associated with the blaze were not immediately reported.
