An owl flew into the side of a police cruiser early Wednesday morning on Route 2 in Athol, Massachusetts.
Trooper Matthew Cesvette says he stopped to check on the bird, and swaddled in in a blanket, as it did not appear to be moving.
Cesvette brought the owl to the Athol Barracks, where it was placed into a container. (There was access to air for breathing.)
Environmental Police will check the owl for injuries before releasing it back into the wild.
