Authorities in New Bedford, Massachusetts, made two arrests in connection with Monday's shooting that injured a 60-year-old man.
Estefanie Helena, 19, and Justin Ortega, 20, were apprehended Friday afternoon in the Bronx, New York, where it is believed they were staying with a relative, and taken back to Massachusetts.
The two are accused of assault and battery by discharge of firearm among other charges.
New Bedford Mayor Jon Mitchell said, "I am pleased with the quick work of our police department with our federal partners to apprehend these dangerous suspects."
"This is another fine example of the men and women of this department working collaboratively with partner agencies," said New Bedford Police Chief Joseph Cordeiro.
