A water main break Saturday afternoon at the intersection of Camden Street and Columbus Avenue, in Boston's South End, forced the area to be closed to traffic.
Water rushed into the intersection for several minutes before water officials shut off the main.
Police and fire offiicals responded to the scene, and city water and sewer officials are investigating.
