Authorities say a man is dead and a woman is in critical condition after a stabbing inside their home.
A woman was critically hurt and her husband killed in what authorities said is believed to be a case of domestic violence in Milford, Massachusetts, on Monday morning.
The woman might have died, but she was revived by Milford's police chief, according to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early. They haven't been publicly identified, with their family still being informed; their four children were at school at the time of the stabbing and are now in the care of family members.
There was not believed to be a threat to the public, Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino said. He said it wasn't immediately clear who stabbed whom in the incident in an apartment on South Bow Street near Central Street.

The stabbing was reported in 911 call about 9 a.m., the officials said. When a team, including Tusino, who is a trained EMT as well as Milford's police chief, entered, they found the woman upstairs with multiple stab wounds and the man in basement with a single stab wound to the chest.
Early told reporters that the woman "was gone. They brought her back."
Tusino called the scene chaotic, noting "a significant language barrier" with people outside the house, while the woman who needed aid had "a significant loss of blood."
While Tusino didn't share details on reviving the woman, he said that "she's gone through some serious operations" and that first responders were "cautiously optimistic" about her condition.
The children of the husband and wife range in age from 5 to 14. Police had never previously been called for an incident involving the couple, Tusino said.
The incident was first revealed publicly by Early at an unrelated news conference, while police initially said they had closed South Bow Street in the area for an investigation.
