Several people were injured in a multi-car crash Saturday night in Hooksett, New Hampshire, that was allegedly caused by an impaired driver.
Hooksett police say they responded to the intersection of Mammoth Road and Castle Drive around 7:23 p.m. for a crash involving three cars and multiple injuries.
An on-scene investigation shows 45-year-old Brian O'Connor, of Hooksett, was driving a GMC pickup north on Mammoth Road in the area of Golden Gate Drive when his truck crossed into oncoming traffic and sideswiped a Honda sedan before it collided head on with a Toyota Rav4 at the intersection of Castle Drive.
The Honda driver and passenger were not injured, while the two people in the RAV4 were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
O'Connor also suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital where he was charged with DUI and reckless operation. He was bailed and released at the hospital. He's due in court on May 16. It was not immediately clear if he had obtained an attorney.
The crash shut down Mammoth Road from Golden Gate Drive to Hale Avenue for about two hours, as police and fire crews worked the scene.
