Nine people reported injuries from sparklers at a party in New Ipswich, New Hampshire, Friday.
Five were transported to a local hospital for precautionary measures, and were all later released, according to New Ispwich police.
The sparklers may have been set inside a glass bottle and lit, which caused the glass bottle to explode violently, sending glass fragments flying into a number of people, according to the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal's office.
Fire Marshal Degnan, Chief Lund and Lt Abel recommend anyone using fireworks or novelty fireworks like sparklers to follow manufacturer’s recommendations and follow the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Office’s fireworks safety brochure.
