A teenager pulled from the second floor of a burning home in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood was taken to the hospital in critical condition on Tuesday morning.
The fire was reported around 4 a.m. on Hyde Park Avenue, according to fire officials.
Smoke was showing upon arrival, and firefighters went in and removed one person from the second floor. That person, identified by the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office as a teenager, has life-threatening injuries. They remained in critical condition at the hospital Tuesday morning, the DA said.
No firefighters were injured.

Video from the scene showed multiple engines and other emergency vehicles at the scene, and some of the home's windows had been broken.
Five adults and three children were displaced by the fire, officials said. Danni Parker, who lives nearby, said she grew up knowing the family.
"It looks very scary honestly, with the fire it looks dark in there," she said of the burnt home. "Usually it's a house that is always decorating for the holidays, like Christmas coming up, so it's very sad to see it like this."
The fire department estimates the damage to the home at about $250,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
