A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Boston's Charlestown neighborhood early Monday morning, police said.
The incident happened just after 3 a.m. on Alford and Dexter streets, Boston police said. The vehicle fled the scene.
Officers found the stricken man at the scene about 3:08 a.m.; he was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in an update Monday afternoon. Investigators believe the driver fled on Alford Street toward Everett before officers arrived.

No arrests have been announced, and police didn't release the description of any vehicle suspected in the crash.
Alford Street and Sullivan Square reopened to traffic just before 9:30 a.m., police wrote on social media.
