A police investigation is ongoing following a shooting in Cambridge, Massachusetts, early Friday morning.
Cambridge police said they responded shortly after 2 a.m. to an apartment building on Magazine Street for a report of an argument followed by a gunshot. The reporting party could not provide an apartment number, and after an extensive search, police were unable to find a victim or any signs of a crime scene.
After clearing the scene, police located a victim in Central Square suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim is alive and was taken to an area hospital. His name has not been released, but police said he is a man in his 40s from Boston.
Police said a specific crime scene has not been located, but they are investigating in the area of Magazine Street.
Several police vehicles were seen parked outside the Church Corner Apartments on Magazine Street on Friday morning.
Yellow police crime scene tape and more Cambridge police cruisers were outside a bank around the corner on Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square.
