A shooting in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood late Sunday left two people hurt, but both are expected to survive, Boston police said.
The shooting on Walnut Avenue left bullet holes in more than one home and scared neighbors, who said they heard 10-15 shots ring out.
"They shot through the baby girl’s window downstairs," said one resident, who asked not to give her name. "That's scary, 'cause she was in her bed."
The Boston Police Department responded about 10:15 p.m. to a report of a person shot, the agency confirmed to NBC10 Boston. When officers got to the scene, they found two victims.
Boston Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene as well and said that it took two people to a hospital. Both victims were said to have non-life threatening injuries.
A large police presence was seen in the area as law enforcement investigated the shooting.
There have not been any arrests made yet in the case. The investigation was ongoing late Monday morning.
While the shooting isn't expected to leave anyone dead, residents said it remained alarming, especially since it's down the street from Malcolm X Park.
"It's not safe, having a park here, and we don’t know who did it," said a neighbor who gave her name as Teresa.
