Two people were rushed to the hospital after a stabbing early Monday morning in the Mattapan section of Boston.
Boston Emergency Medical Services confirmed that they responded to River Street at around 2:15 a.m. for a reported stabbing on River Street, and transported two victims to a local hospital.
Police said a 30-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries, and a 23-year-old man suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive. Due to the critical nature of the first victim, homicide detectives responded to the scene.
There was a heavy police presence in the area as investigators responded to the incident.
No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
