An overturned truck on Route 1 north in Peabody, Massachusetts, caused traffic delays during the Wednesday morning commute.

A section of Route 1 northbound in Peabody, Massachusetts, has reopened late Wednesday morning after a truck rollover closed the highway and snarled traffic during the morning commute.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said Route 1 north was closed at the Lake Street overpass due to the crash. Traffic was being detoured to Interstate 95, but the left lane reopened around 9:30 a.m. As of 10:30 a.m., the road had reopened.

The crash was reported shortly after 7 a.m. There was no immediate word on injuries.

Aerial video of the scene showed the truck on its side, blocking both lanes of traffic.

No further details were immediately available.
