A tree fell on a vehicle Thursday in Douglas, Massachusetts, leaving a man seriously hurt.
The incident happened on South Street Thursday afternoon. Neighbors say two people were in the SUV when the tree came down on it.
Gary Mitchell says he couldn't believe what he was seeing.
"Just seen it sparking, I came out, I heard somebody, 'I need help,'" he recalled. "I came out right away."
Mitchell said the tree snapped suddenly.
According to Mitchell, the woman was able to get out on her own, but the man appeared to be trapped at one point.
Police at the scene say the man was seriously hurt and taken to a hospital.
