Waterbury police have arrested a 19-year-old woman who is accused of hitting her boyfriend's ex-girlfriend and the woman's friend with a car in October.
Melany Camanero, 19, of Waterbury, is accused of crashing into a 21-year-old woman and a 22-year-old woman on Walnut Avenue in Waterbury while they were standing near a pickup just after 8 p.m. on Oct. 10.
The 22-year-old woman was in critical condition and she remains hospitalized, where she is now in stable condition, police said.
The 21-year-old was in stable condition after she was struck and has been released from the hospital, according to police.
One of the victim's told police that Camanero dates her ex-boyfriend and the teen had been harrassing her, according to the arrest warrant.
It goes on to that say that there was an altercation and one of the victim's called her father and asked him to pick her up from a friend’s house.
When he arrived, the daughter and a friend approached his truck, then, a Honda Accord approached and hit the two young women and the truck, then the driver ran, the witness told police.

According to the arrest warrant, Camanero steered toward the two women and accelerated.
Police obtained a warrant for Camanero and she turned herself in to police on Thursday.
She has been charged with criminal attempt to commit murder, two counts of assault in the first degree, evading responsibility resulting in serious physical injury, failure to drive in the proper lane and operating a motor vehicle with a disqualified license, police said.
Camanero is being held on $1 million bond and she will be arraigned on Thursday.
