Four people have been arrested following a raid at what police describe as a brothel in a Providence, Rhode Island, apartment.
Capt. Anthony Sauro says the residence has been under investigation for two months.
Two men are facing charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy; one man was charged with procurement of sexual conduct for a fee; and one woman was charged with prostitution. Two other women who allegedly worked at the apartment were not charged.
Police say they found evidence of prostitution, including morning-after pills, condoms and cash.
The owner of the house denied any knowledge of prostitution, saying residents paid rent in cash.
