A woman has been charged in a fatal shooting that happened late Tuesday night in Manchester, New Hampshire, state authorities announced.
Alicia Castagnino, 24, was arrested early Wednesday for allegedly shooting and killing a person on Silver Street shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office.
The victim was identified as 27-year-old Brennan Pelio. He was killed with a single gunshot wound to his head, prosecutors said.
Castagnino faces a charge of second-degree murder. She's due to be arraigned Friday in Manchester District Court; it wasn't immediately clear if she had an attorney who could speak to her arrest.
Prosecutors didn't say what they believe led to Pelio's shooting or speak to whether he had a relationship with Castagnino.
