A woman's suspicious death at a residence in Goffstown, New Hampshire, is under investigation, authorities said Tuesday.
Crime scene investigators spent hours at a home on Joffre Street after the body of a woman was found inside the house.
Details about her death, including when and how she died, weren't immediately available. The New Hampshire Attorney General's Office said only that there wasn't believed to be any threat to the public.
"It's extremely eerie," said neighbor Michelle Toto.
Neighbors said it was just after 2 p.m. Tuesday that police started swarming the home.
"They had guns drawn," said Toto. "My husband could hear them say they found her. She was, I’m assuming, deceased because they brought her out. A little bit later, they said, 'Come work on him.' I guess he had stab wounds and then they just transported him right away to the hospital."
Neighbors said a husband and wife lived in the home, and an adult son may have recently moved back in.
Police have not said if any arrests have been made but they said there is no threat to the public.
State police and prosecutors are investigating what happened, the attorney general's office said.
