Two federal court officers were shot at a Boston police training facility Thursday afternoon.
Authorities said the male law enforcement officers, both of whom suffered non-life-threatening injuries, were at the Moon Island Boston Police Firing Range in Quincy when they were shot.
Moon Island is in Boston Harbor and is accessible by a causeway from Quincy.
The U.S. Marshals Service said the two men involved are court security officers who are contract employees of Walden Security and were shot during routine firearms qualifications. Authorities said one officer was shot in the arm and the other was shot in the buttocks.
Both men are in stable condition at Boston Medical Center.
Aerial footage from NBC10 Boston's Sky Ranger helicopter showed several law enforcement vehicles parked outside the facility.
A preliminary investigation indicates the shooting was accidental, however, the shooting remains under investigation by Boston police.
