Chick-fil-A Is Coming to Boston

Chick-fil-A has reportedly been approved to open its first Boston location.

It appears Chick-fil-A will be heading to Boston following a green light from the city officials on Tuesday, according to Universal Hub.

The national fried chicken restaurant chain got permission from the Boston's zoning board of appeals to begin work at the Boloco at 569 Boylston St., with plans for a mid-2020 opening.

Former Boston Mayor Thomas Menino had vowed to keep Chick-fil-A out of the city due to the founder's opposition to same-sex marriage.

There are several Chick-fil-A restaurants currently in the Boston area.
