Historic Restaurant Shut Down Following Fire

The historic Jacob Wirth restaurant in downtown Boston had to shut down last night following a fire.

The historic Jacob Wirth restaurant in downtown Boston had to shut down last night following a fire.

Crews rushed to the scene at around 6 p.m. last night.

Fire officials had to shut down Stuart Street as they cleared the scene. While there were customers inside of the restaurant at the time of the fire, no one was hurt.

The historic pub has been around since 1868. It usually opens at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, but it will remained closed because of water damage.
