NH man killed in motorcycle crash on I-290 in Worcester, Mass.

Authorities say a Honda CRW came into contact with a Harley Davidson in the left lane westbound.

A motorcyclist has died following a crash involving an SUV in Worcester, Massachusetts, on Saturday afternoon.

Massachusetts State Police say the incident took place at around 1:40 p.m. on Interstate 290.

According to police, a Honda CRW came into contact with a Harley Davidson in the left lane westbound.

The motorcyclist, identified as 56-year-old Robert Petterson, of Farmington, New Hampshire, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The SUV driver was not injured, and their name was not released. Police haven't said if any charges will be filed.

Two lanes were closed for nearly an hour following the crash but have since reopened.

An investigation is ongoing.
