Police say a Londonderry police officer was the 27-year-old Amherst, New Hampshire, man charged in an alleged drunken driving crash that killed a Manchester woman late Friday night.
The officer, identified as Tyler Berry, was charged Friday night in an alcohol-related fatal crash that led to the death of the other driver, 21-year-old Sierra Croteau of Manchester, police said.
Berry was treated at Catholic Medical Center in Manchester. After treatment, police arrested and charged him with felony aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol.
Croteau was pronounced dead at the crash scene in Amherst.
Her boyfriend, Tyler Matteau, said she was on her way home from his house when she was killed.
"She was a loving, caring girl. She really was. She was perfect," said Matteau.
The collision occurred on Route 101 at approximately 11:30 Friday night. Police arrived and found two vehicles involved in the crash, Berry's 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 pickup truck and Croteau's 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe.

"Based upon the initial investigation, the GMC pick-up was traveling westbound when it crossed the yellow center line and struck the Hyundai, head-on, as it was traveling eastbound," police said.
Amherst police called the New Hampshire State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction to the scene to aid in the investigation. That area of the road was closed for approximately five hours.
"At this time it appears that impairment was a factor in this crash, however, all aspects remain under investigation," police said.
While Croteau's loved ones say they want to know more about her death, their focus, for now, is on honoring her life.
"It's been horrible for us. (We're) just waiting for more details to come out," said Matteau.
The Londonderry Police Department released a statement following the crash:
"First and foremost, we send our heartfelt thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Sierra Croteau. It is our understanding that Tyler Berry has been arrested and charged in connection with this matter. As his employer, we will cooperate fully with the investigation and take appropriate action when more facts are known."
