2 Male Rodents Fight Over Female

CCTV footage shows two male marmots in China apparently fighting over a potential mate in the middle of a road. It is mating season for marmots in China. According to Don Blumstein, a UCLA biologist, “these are some of the same motor patterns used in play, but unlike play, which is bouncier and more reciprocal, there were some sharp bites and it was much more jerky and ‘aggressive’ looking.”
