Red Sox pitchers and catchers officially report to spring training Tuesday in Fort Myers, Florida.
MLB.com reports that close to 20 players have already been working at The Fenway South complex for more than a week. Those players include Chris Sale, David Price, Jackie Bradley Jr., Rick Porcello and Eduardo Rodriguez.
Rookie Manager Alex Cora spoke on Monday about how he envisions spring training.
"I believe in quality work and being efficient," Cora said. "There's going to be short days. There's going to be long days."
The Sox play their first Grapefruit League game on Feb. 23 against the Minnesota Twins.
Opening Day is March 29 at Tropicana Field against the Tampa Bay Rays.
