Several people had to be escorted out of a town hall event as sparks flew over Maine Gov. Paul LePage's handling of the state's drug crisis.

Several residents were thrown out Tuesday night at the Waldoboro event after criticizing LePage.

One person accused him of lying to block solar farms and bar residents from signing contracts with power companies. Another questioner accused LePage of "escalating the war on drugs" rather than focusing more on treatment.

LePage has been critical of solar power saying it relies on subsidies that lead to higher costs for rate payers. He says he's also urging lawmakers to fund an inpatient and outpatient facility in Windham that is linked with community jails.
