What to know if you're voting in Connecticut
In Connecticut, incumbent Democrat Sen. Chris Murphy is the projected winner for U.S. Senate. The 5th Congressional District will also choose between incumbent Democrat Rep. Jahana Hayes and Republican challenger George Logan. There is also a ballot question concerning absentee voting. Polls closed at 8 p.m.

In Maine we'll be watching a U.S. Senate race between incumbent Independent Sen. Angus King, Independent Jason Cherry, Democrat David Costello and Republican Demi Kouzounas. Polls closed at 8 p.m.

Voters in Massachusetts will decide on a U.S. Senate seat this year: Incumbent Democrat Elizabeth Warren is the projected winner over her challenger by Republican John Deaton. There are also five ballot questions up for a vote. Polls in Massachusetts closed at 8 p.m.
What to know if you're voting in New Hampshire
In New Hampshire, voters will choose a new governor as current Gov. Chris Sununu has decided not to seek reelection. It’s Republican Kelly Ayotte against Democrat Joyce Craig. There is also a constitutional amendment up for a vote. In New Hampshire polls were required to be open until 7 p.m., though some locations may close later.

In Rhode Island the key race is for a U.S. Senate seat, where Democratic U.S. Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse will face Republican Patricia Morgan. Polls closed at 8 p.m.
What to know if you're voting in Vermont
In Vermont, incumbent Republican Gov. Phil Scott is the projected winner of his race. Incumbent Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders is also the projected winner of his race, according to NBC News Polls closed at 7 p.m.
