The Boston Celtics' valiant comeback effort fell just short Wednesday night as they fell to the Indiana Pacers in overtime, 135-132.

Jayson Tatum (37 points) sent the game to OT with a clutch 3-pointer late in the fourth quarter. His shot erased a 24-point deficit and gave Boston a chance to preserve its perfect record.

The Celtics couldn't keep it up in overtime, however, as their night fittingly ended with their open looks not falling. They finished 40.4 percent from the floor while the Pacers shot 48.1 percent. Indiana also dominated the points in the paint, 62-44.

Bennedict Mathurin (30 points) and Pascal Siakam (29 points, 6-8 3-PT) were the stars for the Pacers.

The C's will look to get back on track Friday when they visit the Charlotte Hornets.
