...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM TO 6 PM EST FRIDAY FOR
SOUTHERN VERMONT...
The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Red Flag
Warning for gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from 7 AM to 6 PM EST Friday.
* Affected Area...All of Bennington and Windham Counties.
* Timing...From 7 AM Friday morning until 6 PM Friday evening.
The strongest winds and lowest relative humidity values will
occur between 9 AM and 1 PM.
* Winds...Northwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 20 to 30 percent.
* Temperatures...Ranging from the low 40s to low 50s.
* Impacts...Unusually dry vegetation combined with gusty winds
and low relative humidity will promote the potential for rapid
fire spread with any fires that may start.
