...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 1 PM EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total sleet accumulations up
to one tenth of an inch and ice accumulations around one tenth of
an inch. Up to one inch of snow is also expected across the far
north and mountains.
* WHERE...Portions of west central and western Maine and central and
northern New Hampshire.
* WHEN...From 1 AM to 1 PM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Although ice amounts will be light, the freezing rain is
expected to fall on cold bare pavement. This will lead to the
potential for glaze ice formation on untreated roads, leading to
extremely dangerous travel conditions. Even light snowfall amounts
can accumulate on roads and cause dangerous driving conditions due
to snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the
Tuesday morning commute.
